Riding the Pyrénées

If you don’t want to have to do all the research and planning to put together a great riding trip, then let us help with one of our ‘named’ road-riding options. There’s something for everyone, whatever time of year you want to ride. You can enjoy the convenience and homeliness of a Liberty trip (shaping your own rides each day according to your mood, your fitness & the weather), or you can opt for one of our supported and guided options. Either way, we are here to help you get the most out of your visit. So, whatever mix of accommodation, meals, on-the-road back-up & route expertise you might like to combine, let us know and we’ll put together a proposal for you.

From our base in the Barousse valley you have access to everything from steady ‘tempo’ Category 3-4 hills through to the mythical HC (‘hors category’ = ‘beyond classification’) monsters which so often feature in the major shake-ups of the Tour. The closest of those start within a few kilometres of the front door; dozens are within easy riding distance and there are probably 60 to choose from if you opt for a day or two of vehicle transfers/support from us to help get you to your target climb.

We’re more than happy to accommodate visits of less than 3 nights or more than 7 nights, so if you’re looking for a ‘weekender’ or a long-stay trip, just let us know and we’ll price something up for you.
